모닝 애프터 필(응급 피임 정), Morning after pills(Emergency contraception pills)

  • 모닝 애프터 필은 일종의 복합 호르몬제이고 성교를 한 후 임신된 것을 중절 시키는 호르몬제이다. 그라나 최근 연구에 의하면 임신되기 전 피임이 된다고 한다(6/2012). 
  • 이미 수정된 수정난이 배자로 더 이상 성장하지 못하게 해서 임신이 중절되지 않고  임신되기 전 피임이 된다고 한다(6/2012).
  • 성교를 한 후 72시간 내에 이 약을 복용해서 임신이 되지 않게 한다.

Mifepristone (RU-486)을 성교한 후 복용하면 착상된 수정란을 낙태 시키는 작용이 있다.
