그림7-5. 모유를 먹어 아기를 양육하면 아기에게 이롭고 좋은 점이 많다. 모유수유하는 동안 엄마의 살갗과 아기의 살갗이 서로 접촉될 때 생기는 신체적 접촉 사랑, 거기다가 엄마가 주는 집중적 관심적 사랑 및 보살핌을 받을 수 있는 것은 또한 아기에게도 이롭고 엄마에게도 이롭다. 아기는 엄마의 눈길접촉 사랑을 받을 수 있고 엄마 역시 아기로부터 눈길접촉 사랑을 받을 수 있다. 이런 모자간 모든 사랑은 젖을 먹는 아기들만 엄마로부터 받을 수 있다. 젖을 먹이는 엄마도 젖 먹는 아기로부터 받을 수 있다.

  • 어떤 사람들은 유방이 여성의 외부 생식기들 중 하나로 간주하고 성적 매력적 기관으로 간주하기도 한다. 
  • 유방 속에는 모유를 분비할 수 있는 유선들이 많이 있다. 
  • 그 유선들은 모유를 생성하고 모유가 유관을 통과해 젖꼭지에 있는 젖 구멍들을 통해 분비된다.

Figure 7-5. Breastfeeding and raising a baby has many benefits and benefits for the baby.
