첫 월경을 할 때 사춘기 여아들은 어떻게 반응하나?, What kind of reactions do female adolescents have in the first menstruation?

  • 여아들에게 사춘기가 오면 때와 장소를 가리지 않고 예고 없이 초경이 시작 될 수 있다고 가르쳐 주어야 한다. 
  • 학교에서 수업 받는 동안, 영화구경을 하는 동안, 잠 잘 때, 밤과 낮을 가리지 않고 초경이 시작 할 수 있다. 때로는 아침에 잠자리에서 일어나 피가 묻은 잠자리를 보고 간밤에 초경을 한 것을 알고 놀라기도 한다. 
  • 초경에 관해 소아 성교육을 조금도 받지 않은 사춘기 여아들이 밤중에 초경을 할 때 초경으로 난 피가 양다리로 흐를 적 상당히 당황하기도 한다. 
  • 어떤 사춘기 여아들은 초경을 할 때 초경으로 난 피를 보고 몸 어디에 상처가 나서 피가 나는 줄로 잘못 알고 두려워하기도 하고 부모에게 그 사실을 급히 알리고 의사의 도움을 청하기도 한다. 
  • 그와 반대로 어떤 사춘기 여아들은 초경을 하면 자기는 성인 여성으로 성숙됐고 정상적으로 성장 발육됐다고 기뻐하고 자랑스럽게 생각한다. 
  • 이런저런 이유로 어떤 부모들은 첫 월경을 한 딸에게 초경 잔치를 크게 해 주기도 한다고 전에 언급했다.

What kind of reactions do female adolescents have in the first menstruation?

• Girls should be taught that puberty can cause menarche to begin at any time and anywhere without notice.

• Menstruation can start during school hours, while watching a movie, while sleeping, and at any time of the day or night. Sometimes I wake up in the morning to see a bloody dragonfly and am surprised to find out that I had menarche last night.

• Adolescent girls who have never received any pediatric sex education about menarche can be quite upset when they menarche in the middle of the night and blood from menarche flows down their legs.

• When some adolescent girls see menarche blood when they menarche, they mistakenly think that blood is coming from a wound on their body, and they are afraid.

• Conversely, some adolescent girls are happy and proud that when they menarche they have matured into adult women and have grown and developed normally.

• For one reason or another, I mentioned earlier that some parents give their first menstrual daughter a big menstrual feast.
