남자에게서 나온 정자가 사춘기 여아나 성인 여성의 난소에서 나온 난자를 만나지 못하면 임신이 되지 않는다.
아직 초경을 하지 않은 초기 사춘기 여아들의 난소에서는 난자가 배란되지 않을 수 있다.
초경을 한 이후 사춘기 여아들의 난소에서 한 달에 한 개의 난자가 나올 수 있고 얼마동안 나오지 않을 수 있다.
성인 여성들의 난소에서 한 개의 난자가 한 월경 주기에 배란되는 것이 보통이다.
성교를 했더라도 어떤 이유로 난자와 정자가 서로 만날 수 없을 때는 임신되지 않는다.
그런데 그런 난자가 배란되는 날과 시간을 여러 가지 방법으로 잘 알 수는 있지만 정확히 알기는 그리 쉽지 않다.
임신을 하지 않으려면 성교를 하지 않거나 피임을 해야 임신이 되지 않는다.

If the sperm from the male does not meet the egg from the ovary of an adolescent girl or adult female, pregnancy is not possible.
In early adolescent girls who have not yet menstruated, the ovaries may not ovulate. After menarche, the ovaries of adolescent girls can release one egg per month and may not release for some time.
It is normal for one egg to ovulate in one menstrual cycle from the ovaries of adult women.
Even if you have had sex, you will not become pregnant if for some reason the egg and sperm cannot meet. However, although you can know the day and time of ovulation in various ways, it is not easy to know exactly.
If you do not want to become pregnant, you must not have intercourse or use birth control to prevent pregnancy.
