월경 주기, Menstrual cycle

  • 바로 전달 월경이 시작한 날부터 다음 달 월경 시작 전날까지의 기간을 한 월경 주기라고 한다. 
  • 각 여성에 따라 한 월경 주기 기간은 조금 더 길거나 조금 더 짧은 것이 보통이다. 
  • 한 월경 주기 기간은 대개 28~35일이다. 
  • 모든 여성은 일률적으로 일정한 월경 주기 기간에 따라 월경을 꼬박꼬박 하지 않는 것이 보통이다. 
  • 그래서 일정한 월경 주기 기간에 따라 월경을 꼬박꼬박 하는 것 보다 하루 이틀을 당겨 더 일찍 월경을 시작 하거나, 또는 하루 이틀 더 늦게 월경을 시작하는 것이 일반적이다. 
  • 특히 초기 사춘기 동안 대부분의 사춘기 여아들은 월경은 불규칙적으로 할 수 있다. 그것도 정상적이다.

Menstrual cycle

• The period from the start of the last menstrual period to the day before the start of menstruation in the next month is called a menstrual cycle.

• For each woman, one menstrual cycle is usually a little longer or a little shorter.

• The duration of a menstrual cycle is usually 28-35 days.

• It is not uncommon for all women to not menstruate at any one time, following a uniformly regular menstrual cycle period.

• So, it is common to start menstruating a day or two earlier, or start menstruating a day or two later, rather than having a full period according to a regular menstrual cycle period.

• Most adolescent girls may have irregular periods, especially during early puberty. That’s normal too.
