남성의 정자와 여성의 난자가 만나서 수정되고 수정란이 생긴다.
그 수정란이 자궁 내벽에 착상되면 임신이 된다.
이렇게 임신이 되지 않게 하는 것을 피임이라 한다.
피임하는 방법을 정확히 모르거나, 피임하는 방법을 알고 있지만 옳게 피임하지 않거나, 한두 번 성교를 한다고 해서 설마 임신이 되겠느냐 의심하면서 피임을 하지 않고 성교를 하는 사춘기 아이들에게 임신이 될 수 있다.
임신하고, 분만해서 자녀를 양육하는 인간의 본능을 간단한 일로 잘못 생각한 나머지 피임하지 않고 성교를 하고 아기를 배고 낳을 수 있다.
책임지는 성교를 하지 않으면 임신이 더 될 수 있다.
사춘기 아이들이 성교를 하면 임신이 될 수도 있고 성병에 걸일 수도 있다. 그래서 성교할 떄 임신도 되지 않고 에이즈 등 감염성 성병에 걸리지 않게 latex condom이나 정자가 남자를 맞나자 못해 피임이되는 방벽 피이법(Barrier protction)을 많이 쓴다.

• When the male sperm and the female egg meet, they are fertilized and a fertilized egg is formed.

• When the fertilized egg implants in the lining of the uterus, pregnancy occurs.

• Preventing pregnancy in this way is called contraception.

• Pregnancy can occur in adolescents who do not know exactly how to use birth control, know how to do so, but do not use it correctly, or who have unprotected intercourse while doubting whether they will become pregnant after having sex once or twice.

• The human instinct to conceive, deliver, and raise children is mistaken for a simple matter, so it is possible to have intercourse and conceive a baby without contraception.

• Failure to engage in responsible intercourse can lead to more pregnancy.

When adolescents have sex, they can become pregnant and develop sexually transmitted diseases. So, during intercourse, a latex condom or barrier protection prevents pregnancy because sperm cannot meet an ovum and also prevents contracting AIDS and/or other infectious sexually transmitted diseases.
