한 월경주기의 중간 되는 날에 한 개의 난소에서 한 개의 난자가 배란된다.
배란 된 난자가 정자를 만나면 임신이 될 수 있다.
이렇게 생각하면 임신되는 것은 간단하다.
난자가 난소에서 배란되지 못하게 하는 약들이 있다.
이런 약들을 이용해서 임신이 되지 못하게 할 수 있다.
이렇게 임신이 되지 못 하게 하는 데 쓰는 약물들을 통틀어 피임약이라고 한다.
복용해서 피임할 수 있는 경구용 피임 정, 주사로 맞아 피임할 수 있는 주사용 피임약, 피하에 매몰해 피임할 수 있는 피하 매몰 피임약 등 여러 종류의 피임약들이 있다.
복용해서 피임할 수 있는 피임약은 일정한 기간 동안 매일 복용해서 피임한다.
각 피임약의 용법에 따라 적절히 쓰지 않으면 임신이 될 수 있다.
에스트로겐 호르몬과 프로게스테론 호르몬을 혼합해서 만든 복합 피임약도 있고 에스트로겐 호르몬으로 만든 피임약 등이 있다.
피임약의 효과는 99%이다.

Contraceptive pills

• One egg is ovulated from one ovary on the middle day of one menstrual cycle.

• If the ovulated egg meets sperm, you can become pregnant.

• Thinking this way, getting pregnant is simple.

• There are medications that prevent an egg from ovulating in the ovary.

• You can use these medications to prevent pregnancy.

• The drugs used to prevent pregnancy are collectively called birth control pills.

• There are several types of contraceptives, including oral contraceptives that can be taken by mouth, injectable contraceptives that can be administered by injection, and subcutaneous contraceptives that can be buried under the skin.

• Contraceptive pills that can be taken by taking birth control are taken daily for a certain period of time.

• If you do not use each contraceptive pill properly, you may become pregnant.

• Some birth control pills are made by mixing estrogen hormone and progesterone hormone, and there are birth control pills made with estrogen hormone.

• The contraceptive pill is 99% effective.
